Sherwood Observatory

Support us

Sherwood Observatory is the home to a Planetarium, Observatory and Radio Astronomy Centre just outside Sutton-in-Ashfield.

Our aim to encourage more young people to take an interest in STEM subjects, to raise educational attainment and engagement by sharing our passion for Astronomy with all visitors to Sherwood Observatory.

The centre is run by the help of many volunteers from the Sherwood Observatory charity, without whom we could not offer such a varied programme of events. We welcome support from people of all ages, and all communities to further our vision and provide opportunities for visitors to explore astronomy and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.

Donate

We rely on admissions tickets and donations to be able to continue to open our doors to visitors.

Our Supporters
