Support Sherwood Observatory

We rely on admissions tickets and donations to be able to continue to open our doors to visitors. The running costs of the observatory equate to over £10,000 per month, which must be covered by our income. Our programme of educational events would not be possible without the support of our regular supporters and sponsors, as well as generous donations from our visitors. We’re aiming high with our vision to raise educational aspiration and economic prosperity to the region, and we need your help.

If you are a UK tax payer you can opt to Gift Aid your ticket

 

We give you the option of adding a 10% donation to the cost of your ticket. If you donate 10% or more of your ticket value, your entire payment is eligible for Gift Aid. This means Sherwood Observatory can claim the tax back on your admission from the UK Government. In real terms, this means that your ticket is worth 25% more to us, thus increasing our income significantly.

Your support makes a huge difference to our income, allowing us to pursue our vision of furthering interest in astronomy and STEM subjects. We are grateful for every donation made in this way.
