A huge thank you

Our ambitious project to build the new Sherwood Observatory attraction would not have been possible without the help of a wide range of support. We are thankful to all organisations who have shared our vision and have supported us with either financial contributions or pro-bono help and guidance. The length of this page is a testament to the wide range of support that we have received.

Core sponsors

In 2021 and 2023 we were awarded substantial blocks of funding from UK Government sponsored by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). These grants are administered and distributed through Ashfield District Council in partnership with the Discover Ashfield Board and they have been instrumental in allowing us to take our proposals to the next level. With this backing we were then able to secure further core funding from Ashfield District Council, The Wolfson Foundation, The National Lottery Heritage Fund, The Garfield Weston Foundation, and the Foyle Foundation.
