Online Survey for Sonification Toolkit Project – Your involvement would be valued

Sherwood Observatory - Planetarium and Science Centre

We are delighted to announce that we are collaborating with Newcastle University to build an educational resource which will use sound to represent scientific data and concepts.

These sounds would be used in enjoyable educational shows in the planetarium and in other settings, making the shows and other exhibits more accessible to those who are blind or visually impaired (BVI). To help develop this, we are testing user experience of different types of sound.

Once the full dome content has been created, we will then be inviting test audiences to come to us, see the draft content on our dome, then give feedback prior to it going into production.

We would like to know what you think, so we are asking you to complete this anonymous online survey which will involve listening to sounds and responding to questions about the sounds. We encourage both children and adults to take part!

The survey will take 10 -15 minutes to complete, and you can take part by clicking the link provided below.
